Festival Codex is a classified reference of 462 festivals worldwide. Most directories store a festival's date as text. We classify how the date behaves, because a fixed date, a lunar drift and an Easter-linked window are different planning problems: one can be booked a year ahead, one moves eleven days every year, one swings inside a six-week window.
Entries are filed by category, place, month and date behaviour. Festival Codex uses no photography at all. Every poster is drawn in the Codex house style — flat, layered, travel-poster illustration; where a hand-made poster does not yet exist, a generated one in the same visual grammar stands in.
Data notes. This is a reference of how festivals recur, not a listings service: exact dates for lunar, Easter-linked and seasonal festivals change every year — always confirm on the official site before booking. Corrections are welcome.
