Bern runs jazz twice a year. The Internationales Jazzfestival spreads from March to May; a shorter autumn programme runs in October or November in the same cellar rooms and at the Kursaal.
No attendance figure is collected in this pass.
The two share a city, a scene and most of their venues, and listings routinely merge them. They are separate programmes with separate tickets, and a visitor looking for "the Bern jazz festival" should establish which half of the year they mean.
Bern in autumn is quiet and cheap by Swiss standards, and the arcades mean the weather is largely irrelevant to walking the old town between venues.
