Gijón's cider festival is the August twin of the Nava one in July, and the pair is the reason this record exists: both are called Festival de la Sidra Natural, both are in Asturias, and a register that carries only one of them under a blended name will send a reader to the wrong town in the wrong month.
Its set piece is the escanciado simultáneo — thousands of people pouring cider at the same moment from a height, the Asturian way, for a world record the city re-breaks.
No attendance figure is collected in this pass.
The entry was absent from both registers. The partner's Spain desk added it without a number and asked for one; this is it.
PlanningLATE AUGUST in Gijón — not to be confused with the Nava festival, which is in July and shares the name.
