Kushida Shrine in Fukuoka is best known for the Hakata Gion Yamakasa in July, but its own autumn harvest festival in October is the older observance: a mikoshi procession through Hakata with children's troupes, a chrysanthemum display and a thanksgiving rite.
No attendance figure is collected in this pass.
The pairing is worth recording. The same shrine holds one of the loudest and most physically demanding festivals in Japan in July and a quiet agricultural thanksgiving in October, and almost every calendar carries the first and not the second.
The dates are fixed at 23–24 October.
