Rototom Sunsplash

Benicàssim · Valencian Community · Spain

Rototom began in Italy in 1994 and relocated to Benicàssim in 2010 after friction with the Italian authorities. It is the largest reggae festival in Europe and has a character unlike the other large Spanish festivals: a seven-day run, an explicit social and educational programme with forums and a reggae university, a large family and children's area, and an audience that camps for the week.

No attendance figure is recorded here in this pass.

Its foreign share is high — Italian, French, German and British — and, as with FIB, the ticketing data would show it and is not published.

The confusion to avoid: Rototom and FIB are both at Benicàssim, about a month apart, and are entirely different festivals with different audiences. Check which one the dates belong to before booking.

PlanningA seven-day August window on the same town as FIB, a month apart — the two are often confused.
