WEGA is the Thurgau's regional fair: trade stands, a livestock show, a funfair and the agriculture of a canton that grows most of Switzerland's apples and a good deal of its wine. It has run since 1946 and is the social event of the Thurgau year.
No attendance figure is collected in this pass.
The month is September. MOLT's Swiss calendar files it under November, which is the only month error on their page besides Sechseläuten, the Fête des Vignerons and the Sion festival — four in sixty-eight, which is a far better rate than either of the other two calendars we have processed.
Weinfelden is between Zurich and Lake Constance, forty-five minutes from either, in a part of Switzerland almost no foreign visitor reaches.
