Abu Dhabi has hosted UFC events since 2010 and built a relationship that produced Fight Island during the pandemic, when the emirate ran an entire bio-secure UFC season on Yas Island. The Showdown Week format surrounds a fight card at the Etihad Arena with a city programme of open workouts, concerts and fan events.
No attendance figure is collected in this pass.
The planning difficulty is specific: the card and the dates come from the UFC's own calendar and are confirmed relatively late, which makes this the hardest entry in the UAE file to plan a journey around.
Yas Island also holds the Grand Prix circuit, the theme parks and the arena, which is why Abu Dhabi's event calendar concentrates there.
PlanningAn October window tied to the UFC calendar; the card and the dates are announced only months ahead.
