Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week gathers energy ministers, utilities and the renewables industry for a week built around the World Future Energy Summit and the awarding of the Zayed Sustainability Prize. It is run by Masdar, the state renewable-energy company.
Masdar publishes attendance per edition; we have not collected a dated one.
The event's interest is its position: a major hydrocarbon producer hosting the region's principal transition forum, which produces a week of genuinely consequential argument rather than a trade show with a theme.
Access is by accreditation. January is also when Abu Dhabi's weather is at its best, which is why the diplomatic and trade calendar of the whole emirate concentrates in the first quarter.
