Ajman fires its own display over the corniche at midnight. It is smaller than the displays in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah and is attended largely by residents of the northern emirates.
No attendance figure is collected in this pass.
We keep it for the reason the partner calendar does: on one night of the year every emirate holds its own event, and recording only Dubai's would misrepresent what the country does with New Year's Eve.
The practical case for Ajman is the congestion. Dubai's displays require a ticketed viewing position or a restaurant booking made months ahead, and the exit afterwards is severe; Ajman requires turning up.
PlanningFixed at midnight on 31 December; free, and far less congested than Dubai.
