Musilac is staged on the Esplanade du Lac at Aix-les-Bains, with the Lac du Bourget on one side and the Alpine foothills behind — among the better-looking main-stage views in France. The programming is mainstream international rock and pop with a strong French contingent, aimed squarely at a broad summer audience rather than a scene.
No attendance figure is published by the organiser, so we record none.
The site is a public esplanade in a spa town, which means there is no on-site camping and the audience disperses into Aix-les-Bains, Chambéry and the lakeside villages each night. That makes it unusually comfortable by French festival standards and unusually dependent on booking a bed early, since the Savoie lakes are already in full season in mid-July.
The TGV serves Aix-les-Bains directly from Paris in about three hours.
PlanningSeasonal window in mid-July, on a lakeside esplanade with no camping on site.
