NIFFF has run since 2000 and is the principal European festival for fantasy, horror and genre cinema outside Sitges, with a long-standing Asian competition that is its real distinction — a programme of East and Southeast Asian films that reaches almost no other European screen.
No attendance figure is collected in this pass.
It runs nine days in early July, with open-air screenings on the Neuchâtel lakefront.
The correction: MOLT's Swiss calendar lists "NIFFF, Ausklang" under September. The festival is in July. As with the Theater Spektakel's May "Vorlauf" and the Festival da Jazz's June "Auftakt", a prelude or postscript has been filed as though it were the event — three instances of the same pattern on one page.
