Sapporo International Art Festival

札幌国際芸術祭

Sapporo · Hokkaido · Japan

The Sapporo International Art Festival is a triennale: contemporary art installed across the city's museums, underground concourses and public buildings, with a guest director for each edition and a strong emphasis on sound and environment.

No attendance figure is collected in this pass.

The cycle is the correction. It runs every three years, not annually, and the partner calendar carries it as a January fixture. This is the third biennial or triennial we have found filed as annual across six countries — after the Sharjah Biennial and the Fête des Vignerons — and the pattern is consistent enough to be worth naming: a cycle is the property most often lost when an event is written into a month column.

PlanningNOT ANNUAL — it runs every three years. The partner calendar lists it as an annual January entry.
