Al Ain Summer Festival

مهرجان العين الصيفي

Al Ain · Abu Dhabi · United Arab Emirates

Al Ain sits inland on the Omani border, around 150 kilometres from Abu Dhabi, and its summer festival offers the usual retail and family programming with one genuine advantage: the interior is dry, and forty-five degrees without humidity is materially more tolerable than thirty-eight on the coast.

No attendance figure is collected in this pass.

The city is the UAE's garden city, built around oases whose falaj irrigation channels are UNESCO-listed, with Jebel Hafeet above it and the country's only real archaeological landscape around it.

For a visitor it is the one place in the Emirates where a summer visit has a defence beyond hotel rates — the oases are shaded and walkable in the evening, and the mountain road climbs out of the heat.

PlanningA July–August window inland, where the dry heat is more bearable than coastal humidity.
