Pitti Immagine Uomo

Florence · Tuscany · Italy

Pitti Uomo fills the Fortezza da Basso, a sixteenth-century Medici fortress in Florence, with menswear collections shown to buyers rather than on a runway: stands, appointments, and the street outside, where the peacocking of attendees has become a photographic genre of its own.

It runs twice a year, in January for the following autumn and winter, and in June for spring and summer, and it opens the men's cycle that continues to Milan and Paris.

No attendance figure is collected in this pass; Pitti Immagine publishes exhibitor and buyer counts per edition.

This entry exists because the Codex register had no menswear weeks at all, which MOLT pointed out. It is filed separately from the Milan fashion weeks deliberately: different cities, different months, different buyers.

PlanningTwo editions a year — January and June — which is a different calendar from the Milan womenswear weeks.
