Romaeuropa is Rome's season of contemporary performing arts, running from September into November across the Auditorium Parco della Musica, the Mattatoio in Testaccio, the Teatro Argentina and a shifting set of other spaces. The programme is international and leans towards dance, digital and hybrid work — the kind of thing a city of classical monuments is not otherwise much associated with.
No attendance figure is recorded here in this pass.
Its length is the planning fact. This is a two-month season of separate evenings, not a concentrated festival, so a visitor picks a performance and a date rather than a week.
Autumn is also the easiest time to be in Rome — the August heat has gone, the summer crowds have thinned, and accommodation is at its most reasonable before the Christmas season.
PlanningA long autumn window of individual evenings across venues — book the performance, not the festival.
Season
Computed from the recurrence rule we record for this entry, not copied from a listing. A date marked ~ comes from a calendar conversion and the observance may fall a day or two either side.
