Sharjah Children's Reading Festival

مهرجان الشارقة القرائي للطفل

Sharjah · United Arab Emirates

The Sharjah Children's Reading Festival runs twelve days of author events, illustration and writing workshops, theatre and publishing stands aimed entirely at children, with a large schools programme on weekdays and families at weekends.

No attendance figure is collected in this pass.

It is part of Sharjah's declared literary policy — the emirate was UNESCO World Book Capital in 2019 and has built the Publishing City free zone — and the children's festival is the piece of that policy aimed at Arabic literacy specifically.

Entry is free. The April–May window puts it at the end of the school year and, in most recent years, clear of Ramadan.
